I had trouble accessing reading group and book lists. I managed to sign up for book crossing, which was interesting. Went through to the link below and I found other discovery links like bookgroup.info, bookwormsearch it worth looking at these.

comment on task: It a new learning curve for me, would I use this site again..may be. It too much work to create your presentation and post it on this site, may be we could promote it to customers...sure why not?

What it easy to navigate? first you have to create a username and password, yes that was fine. It easy to navigate, to style your profile and create presentation not so good. ...I am more of an image person click it an paste it and this did not work for me.

Picapp

I signed up for picapp, it did not work for me. I spent alot of time wasted going around and around the circle and nothing was accomplished.

I managed to play around with Picapp widget but it did not bring up anything at all..
Don't ask me how I got this...just copied the embedded code and something magic appeared in the edit html. hooray...for a moment, I was just about to give up...

I like Box.net, it great to be able to save word documents and music.
I can see it as a benefit to our customers to save their work, if they have no USB or disc to save on. I will definitely share this with friends.
Loading bigger files would mean you have to purchase a bigger bytes for storage, this is worth it.
learning box.net has a whole lots of features to discover, I could get carried away and spend over an hour on this site just exploring.
Would I use this personally? yes....

Created a facebook account and added the Manukau libraries facebook as a fan.

Music files and mp3s

looked at MP3Raid.com, it too many pop up's and I did not want to take any risk in downloading music. You can use the music as your ringtone.

Can be recommended to our customers, but I think they would prefer

using UTube sounds.

My Twitter experience: It easy to use,but I am not a real fan of Twitter. It a great tool and sure if people are willing to use Twitter..I say go for it. It a good way of informing our services to our customers and also to other library staffs.
